Hi Chums,
i hope you're having a super break....lovely weather in the Shire today.

Whats on in April...
actually not a lot ....i have a few private bookings with guilds and groups and 3 local workshops in Ledbury Markets Theatre please read the list below..

New Spring Workshops at Ledbury Market Theatre

Fri 17th Machine Embroidery for beginners- Get yourself going with machine embroidery, demystify the workings of your sewing machine and get to grips with free machine embroidery with and without an embroidery ring. Workshop fee ?45

Wed 29th Twinkling Needlecases - learn how to use foil on velvet add colour with silk and sweetie foil and top off with machine embroidery. Finish the little case off with felt and ribbon to close. For beginners and experienced stitchers alike. Workshop fee ?45

Thurs 30th Daisy Bookwrap - Explore the techniques Angie describes in her book 'Stitch Cloth Paper and Paint'. Experiment with texture, using tissue, lace, scrim, gesso and machine embroidery. Apply colour using acrylics, make embellishments and wrapped cords. We will use all these methods to make a twinkling little bookwrap. Workshop fee ?45

Tues 5th & Wed 6th Exploring Velvet - The properties of velvet are quite astonishing, this workshop will explore the effects achieved with dyes, inks and bleaching back in addition to transfoils glitters and lumiere paint. You will leave with a shimmering piece of velvet to stitch at home. This 2 day workshop includes lots of ideas for free machine embroidery              (Materials extra ?7) Workshop fee ?85

Fri 29th Indian Block Printing with a Difference!While writing my project book 'Stitch Cloth Paper and Paint' I studied Indian textiles and design, and I was inspired by the vast range of bright colour to be seen in images of Indian markets.  I have been experimenting with printing techniques using acrylic paints, Indian wood blocks, shisha mirror embroideries, and Forma foam print blocks to develop layers of colour on calico. Workshop fee ?45

Sat 30th Indian Tag Books I've added my own style to these little tag books.  Techniques and materials include hand dyed and printed cotton or silk, pelmet vilene, stamping, image transfer, and hand and machine embroidery.  Great fun for all abilities. Materials available for small fee. Workshop fee ?45

Summer School 23rd - 25th July Vanishing Worlds
I've been experimenting with some exciting new techniques using soluble and disolvable materials, transfer printing, burning and melting, hand a machine embroidery, inspired by moss, lichen and undergrowth. it's been fun fancy coming along and having a go?
